Iran Imposes New Rules in Hormuz Strait, Limits Passage to 15 Ships Daily

Iran has come up with new rules in the strategic Hormuz Strait. It has been noted that only 15 ships will be permitted to sail through the Hormuz Strait on a daily basis, and even then, with prior permission.

It is worth noting that such a step has been taken after the tensions have escalated in light of a ceasefire. Iran seems to be following an extreme approach to avoid any sort of attack or threats. As we know, the Hormuz Strait serves as one of the most vital channels for oil transportation across the globe.

Experts are confident that the new measures will lead to the enhanced security of Iran and its monitoring of ships. At the same time, however, it may also have repercussions for the global economy as well as oil supplies.
