Utkal Divas celebrated in the presence of party leaders
At Turukha village under Tirtol block of Jagatsinghpur district, a friends meet program was enthusiastically celebrated by BJP Jagannathpur Mandal on the occasion of Utkal Divas. On this occasion, the contributions of the great sons of Odisha were remembered.
The meeting was conducted under the supervision of senior BJP leader Jayalakshmi Mohanty, with youth leader Prashant Panda and women leader Pratima Mohanty coordinating the program. At the beginning of the event, after the song “Bande Utkala Janani,” floral tributes were offered to the photo of Pandit Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das.
On this occasion, discussions were held on the contributions of Gopabandhu Das, Madhusudan Das, and other great sons in the formation of a separate Odisha state. Similarly, under the Skill India scheme, women were encouraged in mushroom cultivation, sewing machines, and preparation of chandua.
In this meeting, senior BJP workers including Mohit Mohanty, Tapan Behera, Nilipta Jena, Pradeep Nayak, Jatadhari Swain, Nrusingha Jena, Debjyoti Kanungo, Rajia Rasul, Prabhakar Das, and Bebina Maharana, along with many workers and booth-level leaders, were present.
At the end, district Bhagabat Prachar Samiti member Ramakanta Sahu gave the vote of thanks. This friends meet program on Utkal Divas was seen to promote unity and social awareness in the area.
