Nimapada BJP rift….
The BJP is seen to be split in Nimapada ahead of the coming Panchayat polls. A meeting was convened in Ramchandi Khalkata Patana of the Gop block where former Sarpanches from 14 panchayats along with hundreds of field workers were present. The main purpose of the meeting was to improve the chances of BJP winning the election.
In the meeting, most of the workers declared that they would not back Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida. They added that those who would campaign through her posters and banners will not be supported by them. The slogan “Remove Pravati, Save Samir” could also be heard in the meeting.
However, Samir Ranjan Dash argued that the meeting was called for consolidating the BJP under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, Dharmendra Pradhan, and CM Mohan Majhi so as to win the election in the Gop block.
Meanwhile, he also made it clear that he himself had no problem with Pravati Parida, yet her opposition came from his own workers.
