Railways Conducts Trial Run of New Vande Bharat Sleeper Train

Indian Railways has successfully conducted a trial run of the upcoming Vande Bharat Sleeper train, marking an important step towards introducing modern overnight train travel in India.

Unlike the existing Vande Bharat trains, which are mainly designed for short daytime journeys, the Vande Bharat Sleeper version is meant for long-distance night travel. The train will have comfortable sleeping arrangements, improved safety features, and modern amenities to give passengers a better travel experience.

During the trial run, Railways tested the speed, braking system, ride comfort, and overall performance of the train to ensure it meets safety and operational standards. The sleeper train is expected to be faster, more comfortable, and more energy-efficient than traditional long-distance trains.
Once fully approved, the Vande Bharat Sleeper train will help reduce travel time, improve passenger comfort, and further strengthen India’s push towards modern and self-reliant railway technology
