There were some complaints against the mismanagement of the public grievance hearing camp that took place at the Brahmapur Panchayat under Choudwar Block. This was because the block administration had informed people that the camp was scheduled to take place at 9:30 AM today.
People who had come to know about this information gathered at the panchayat office as scheduled. But since there were no block officers present when the scheduled time arrived, people had to wait for a considerable amount of time. As per reports, the block officer came to the panchayat hall after almost two hours, at 11:55 AM.
This resulted in a lot of inconvenience for the elderly and women, especially considering the hot weather conditions of summer. There was no availability of drinking water for people, and the elderly as well as disabled people did not have any seats to sit on.
The block officer listened to the grievances of the people after reaching the place. More than 100 people presented their grievances, which were promised by the officer to be settled soon.
