These tribal women and farmers work hard every day to earn some money. They do this by selling vegetables in the market. For a time small vendors have been selling things near the wall of Tikiri Police Station. Now people are saying that the police want them to leave that place.
The women who sell vegetables by the road to get food for their families are very worried. They say they have to sell things because they do not have any other place to go. They are scared that if they are made to leave it will be very hard for them to take care of their families.
People tried to call Tikiri Sarpanch Jagabandhu Majhi to talk about this. He did not answer the phone.
Some people think that the police at Tikiri are doing this because they want to make the roads safer and help with traffic.. The big problem is that the people in charge have not given these small vendors any other place to sell their things. The tribal women and farmers and these small vendors need help to keep selling vegetables and other things. The police at Tikiri and the people, in charge should think about the women and farmers and the small vendors.
