A minor girl who had reportedly been missing since Friday evening was found dead in Balasore district, triggering concern and raising questions over the circumstances surrounding her disappearance and death.
The deceased has been identified as Sayida Khatun, daughter of Sheikh Safik of Arad Bazar Masjid Gali in Balasore. According to information available, Sayida had gone missing on Friday evening. After the family reportedly failed to trace her despite searching for her, a missing complaint was lodged at Sahadevkhunta Police Station on Saturday afternoon.
Later on Saturday evening, the body of the minor girl was recovered near Jadughat in Charigochia, under the jurisdiction of Chandipur Police Station. Following the recovery, the family was informed and subsequently identified the deceased.
