People at the Core: CM Mohan Majhi Unveils 15-Point Governance Vision for Odisha

On the historic occasion marking Odisha’s formation on a linguistic basis, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi laid out a people-first roadmap aimed at making governance more responsive, transparent, and humane. Emphasising that administration must serve citizens at the grassroots, the Chief Minister announced a 15-point governance guideline to shape Odisha’s future.
The vision focuses on faster public services, clean administration, and inclusive growth. CM Majhi set an ambitious goal of transforming Odisha into a $500 billion economy by 2036, while ensuring that development benefits reach every household. He stressed the need to move towards a mixed economy by strengthening knowledge-based industries alongside the State’s rich mineral resources.
Highlighting human dignity in governance, the Chief Minister directed officials to fill all vacant government posts within two years and warned that inefficiency and corruption would not be tolerated. At the same time, efficient and committed officers would be encouraged and empowered.
In a move to strengthen cultural identity and accessibility, CM Majhi mandated that all government notices, notifications, and official communication be issued only in Odia, ensuring that governance speaks the language of the people.
The occasion also marked a milestone for the State administration with Anu Garg assuming charge as Odisha’s first woman Chief Secretary, symbolising progress, inclusion, and administrative continuity.
The 15-point guideline reflects a shift towards governance that listens, responds, and delivers—placing people, not paperwork, at the heart of Odisha’s development journey.
