Nitrogen cylinder refilling turns fatal, four dead

An accident has occurred in Silvassa of the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. It has been reported that an explosion took place on Saturday while nitrogen cylinders were being refilled. In this explosion, four people lost their lives. More than five people have been reported injured. The intensity of the blast was so high that the roof and walls of the warehouse were blown away. Due to its impact, people within 30 meters felt it like an earthquake.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the accident occurred while nitrogen gas cylinders were being refilled in the warehouse. After receiving the information, police and fire service teams reached the spot and started rescue operations. It is known that the warehouse manager is also among those who lost their lives in the explosion. The injured were admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment, and the condition of some is said to be critical. It is being investigated whether the warehouse followed the necessary safety standards for gas refilling.
