In a political development, former BJD MLA from Rengali, Ramesh Patua, has joined the BJP. The joining ceremony was held at the BJP district office in Sambalpur.
Patua had resigned from the BJD a day earlier and formally joined the BJP today. The event was attended by Sambalpur MLA Jayanarayan Mishra, former Rengali MLA Nauri Nayak, and district BJP president Ramchandra Meher.
Along with him, several of his supporters also joined the BJP, marking a significant boost for the party in the region.
