Bangladesh’s High Commissioner to India, M Riaz Hamidullah, has returned to Dhaka after being urgently summoned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He reached Bangladesh last night.
According to reports, the High Commissioner was called back from New Delhi for discussions on recent developments in Bangladesh-India relations. The recall is said to be part of diplomatic consultations to review the current state of bilateral ties.
A leading Bangladeshi daily reported that Mr Hamidullah travelled to Dhaka soon after receiving the message from the foreign ministry.
