Awareness campaign was conducted at Deulpada Gram Panchayat, Mahakalapada block of Kendrapara District, in observance of KIIT, KIMS & KISS ‘International Art of Giving’ day.
The founder of the institution, Prof. Achyuta Samanta has been consistently motivating young people to learn the importance of giving and humanity. According to him, the happiness of giving is far better than the happiness of receiving. The movement has tried to influence people for the past 13 years to be kind, share and act socially responsibly rather than being selfish and greedy.
To commemorate the 13th year of the program, the awareness campaign was organized by the local district coordinator Mr. Ananta Khatua, Mr. Ranjit Jena & Sabyasachi Mohanty, block coordinators.
Mr. Nibedita Das, the local Sarpanch, Mr. Debadatta Sadangi, a retired school teacher, Mr. Shashibhusan Das, former member of the Samiti and Mr. Shashanka Sekhar Sahu graced the function as guests and delivered their speeches.
Art and culture play a role in fostering emotions, commitment, love, and compassion among individuals. Such virtues lead to the development of patience, modesty, and generosity within man, resulting in a superior society that is beyond greed and materialism.
Other attendees at the discussion included the village elders, students, and intellectuals from the panchayat.
